The Blaugrana have already been busy in this window, having announced the arrivals of Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay, as well as Emerson Royal, who was brought back to the club after two years at Real Betis.

The Spanish giants are expected to conduct more transfer business ahead of next season as manager Ronald Koeman and president Joan Laporta seek to build a team that can challenge for the biggest trophies.

On the weekend, Barca announced the departure of Jean-Clair Todibo, who was previously expected to return to the Camp Nou from a season-long loan at Nice but has since been permanently signed by the French side.

Before making any more signings, the LaLiga side might need to let more players leave in this window, with the three players set to return from loan deals in July perhaps facing uncertain futures at the club.

Left-back Sergio Akieme, 23, is preparing to return to the Blaugrana after enjoying a fruitful campaign on loan in Spain's second division. The defender is yet to make a first-team appearance for Barcelona, but impressed in the 40 times he featured for Almeria.

Midfielder Carles Alena is also expected to be around for pre-season with the Catalan giants, although new reports suggest that a number of teams are interested in his signature. Alena spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan at Getafe, making 22 appearances for the LaLiga side.

Lastly, Monchu will return to the club this week from a temporary spell at Girona, during which he amassed 43 senior appearances. The 21-year-old has only ever played once for Barcelona at senior level.
