Wydad's Winning Run Halted On Rulani's Return

Wydad's Winning Run Halted On Rulani's Return

Rulani Mokwena made his return to the touchline on Saturday evening, but his Wydad Casablanca were unable to extend their winning run.

The South African tactician was not in Morocco last weekend as he was given time off by the club following the passing of his grandmother.

However, the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach was available on Saturday as his charges drew 0-0 with CODM.

South African duo Thembinkosi Lorch and Cassius Mailula were both included in the Wydad starting line-up on the day.

It was a frustrating evening for Wydad, saw their five-game winning run in the Botola Pro 1 come to an halt.

Despite dropping points on home soil, Mokwena's charges remain in second spot on the Botola Pro table, three points ahead of AS FAR Rabat who face Raja Casablanca on Sunday night.

Mokwena and Wydad will now shift focus to next weekend's top-of-the-table clash against league leaders RS Berkane.
