Klopp signed a bumper new deal in December, which has seen him climb to joint-third spot among the highest-paid managers in the game.

His deal of €17.52 million (R282 million) a year sees him on a similar salary to Jose Mourinho, according to L'Equipe.

However, Guardiola earns more than them, pocketing €23.28 million (R375 million) annually at Manchester City.

Zinedine Zidane is in fifth spot with yearly earnings of €16.8 million (R271 million) at Real Madrid, while Rafael Benitez is the highest-paid manager outside of Europe. The former Los Blancos and Liverpool boss reportedly receives €13.8 million (R222 million) annually at Dalian Yifang.
