The 2024/25 campaign is nearing its official end, and already, many high-profile footballers have confirmed that they will be leaving their respective clubs for nothing.
The most valuable player expected to leave his club on a free transfer this off-season, according to Transfermarkt, is Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The England international is set to depart from the only club he has ever known, having joined the institution’s youth structures at the age of six. He is now reportedly on the verge of signing for Real Madrid.
Another playmaker set to leave an English giant at the end of the season is Kevin De Bruyne. Unlike Alexander-Arnold, the Belgian midfielder has not spent his entire professional career at Manchester City, but he will be bidding farewell to the Etihad Stadium after a decade of service.
