The club revealed that Amine Benhachem, who took over as interim coach after Mokwena announced he would leave the club, has now been appointed as the new permanent head coach, Sport7 announced.
Benhachem reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Moroccan giants and club president Hachim Ait Menna has decided to place his trust in the 49-year-old following his successful tenure as assistant coach.
The Moroccan reportedly created a positive environment within the squad and created a lively atmosphere in the dressing room.
Ait Menna will grant Benhachem full authority to determine the list of departing players, identify squad gaps, and propose new signings ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Moroccan enjoyed a brief yet successful stint as interim coach, winning all three games in charge of the side after the club granted South African head coach Rulani Mokwena 'special leave' until the end of the season.
Mokwena was set to depart The Red Castle due to inconsistent performances and a replacement was lined up before Benhachem's alleged appointment.
