The Frenchman named his 23-man squad for the tournament that is set to be held in the United Arab Emirates in December.

He included Achraf Hakimi, who has become a vital part of Los Blancos' first team squad since the beginning of the season, but snubbed his son Luca.

The 19-year-old is Real's third-choice goalkeeper in the UEFA Champions League, but his father called up Moha Ramos as his third shot-stopper for the Club World Cup.

Here is Real's CWC squad in full, as announced by FIFA:

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla, Moha Ramos

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Theo Hernandez, Achraf Hakimi

Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Casemiro, Lucas Vazquez, Marco Asensio, Isco, Mateo Kovacic, Dani Ceballos, Marcos Llorente

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Borja Mayoral

Real travel to Abu Dhabi as 2016 Club World Cup champions, and similar to their success in the UEFA Champions League, they could become the first team to defend the title.

Wydad Casablanca will represent Africa, while Urawa Red Diamonds (AFC), Auckland City (OFC), Pachuca (CONCACAF) and Gremio (CONMEBOL) enter the tournament as their respective continental club champions. Al-Jazira qualified as league winners of the host nation.
