The Blaugrana crashed out of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night following a 4-2 defeat in extra-time to Athletic Club at the San Mames.
Returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after Ghana's group-stage exit, Inaki Williams was introduced in the second half and ultimately scored the goal that took the game away from Barcelona.
The result adds to the pressure Xavi has been under in recent months, with the Spanish tactician admitting in a post-match interview that he will need to leave his post if his team does not finish the 2023/24 campaign well.
"If at the end of the season we are not at a competitive level, I will have to leave," he said, according to Tribuna.
"I know where I am, it's a top club. Here at Barca, you need to win titles or you will be at risk.
"I'm convinced the project here has top potential with top young players."
