Heading into their league encounter against Almeria earlier this week, the Blaugrana were on a three-match winless run.
This run was almost made worse as heading into the half-time break against Almeriensistas, they had just conceded a 45th minute equaliser after going up 1-0.
The Spanish champions would go on to win the encounter 3-2, but only after receiving a severe dressing-down from their manager, something he has admitted to.
"I try to be sincere and honest, say things to their face, I can't hide that," the 43-year-old told Mundo Deportivo.
"Shouts? [There's] tension, it's normal, it's a dressing room, we had a lot at stake and I thought it was convenient to raise my voice a little, nothing more.
"From here on, I think the team has reacted very well, very well, in the dressing room we are a team, a big family.
"They are professionals and they understood it very well, in the second half they took the route in which we now have to stay on. We will stop, have a break, to face 2024 with great desire and enthusiasm."
According to Sport, Xavi spared nobody in the dressing room during his half-time team talk, with even Lewandowski was lambasted. The report claims that Xavi told the Pole: "Let's see if you start running for the damn time!"

Andreas Christensen and Joao Felix are other notable players who are said to have been on the receiving end of Xavi's angry words, with the pair subsequently being brought off before the second half kicked off.
