Felix has shown glimpses of his talent at times this season, having contributed with three goals and two assist in 15 appearances under Xavi.
Barcelona are now reportedly ready to plan for a second loan spell next season as they aim to keep the Portuguese's services.
Los Rojiblancos are said to be keen on selling Felix to Barcelona next year, but the club have aksed for €80million.
As a result of their on-going financial issue, Barcelona are unlikely to make any big-money transfers at the end of the season.
According to Diario Sport, Atletico would be open to another deal for Felix next with an obligation to make the move permanent.
However, there was some conflicting reports this week after Xavi had taken Felix off at halftime against Almeria, which members of the Barcelona board did not agree with.
Cadena Sport claimed the board members were surprised to see Felix taken off rather than Robert Lewandowski, who has struggled for goals this campaign.
