Despite co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital investing heavily in the first-team squad over the course of January, bringing in eight players, just two of them rank among the 16 best-paid stars at Stamford Bridge.
Mudryk, who was signed for £62 million (R1.3 billion) earlier in the window, is said to have been handed a contract worth £100 000 (R2.1 million) a week following his arrival from Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 22-year-old's new wages means he is well outside of the top-earners pool in Graham Potter's team, unlike deadline-day arrival Fernandez, who has become the most expensive signing in Premier League history.
Fernandez, a 2022 FIFA World Cup winner with Argentina, has penned an eight-and-a-half-year deal with the Blues that will see him be paid a staggering £315 000 a week (R6.6 million), making him the team's second-best earner.
Only Raheem Sterling is on a higher wage, while Fernandez surpasses players such as Kalidou Koulibaly and N'Golo Kante in the ranking.
Portugal international Felix is the only other January signing among the top 16, with Chelsea having agreed to cover his full wage package during his half-a-season loan in the Premier League.
