Premier League clubs have spent a staggering £30.667 billion in wages since 1992 but which English top flight club has paid the most? Not, as many would have expected, Manchester United!

English clubs are among the biggest spenders on salaries in Europe's top leagues, in particular the top six sides.
However, two English teams are standing out when comparing the wage bills since the revamping of the Premier League in 1992.
Many would have expected United have spent more on salaries than any other club, but it is indeed Chelsea, who lead the ranking, according to Price of Football.
The Blues have spent a whopping £3.16 billion on wages since 1992, while United follow in second place with £3.12 billion.

There is quite a huge gap between the Red Devils and third-placed Liverpool, who have spent £2.57 billion on wages over the last 28 years.
Despite spending six years in outsude of the Premier League between 1996 and 2002, Manchester City appear in fourth place, with an accumulated wage bill of £2.56 billion.
Meanwhile, London-rivals Arsenal with £2.52 billion and Tottenham Hotspur with £1.57 billion complete the top six – you can see the the complete top 10 by scrolling through the gallery above.
