It has been reported that Spanish giants Real Madrid rejected to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for a certain reason.
Aubameyang Explains Why He Joined Arsenal
The African superstar's transfer to Arsenal was confirmed on transfer deadline day on Wednesday, after Borussia Dortmund accepted a £56 million (R940 million) bid.
Prior to his BVB exit, however, Aubameyang had been heavily linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid – a move that did not materialise.
According to El Gol Digital, Real were considering a move for the 28-year-old, but decided against it because of his disciplinary issues.
The striker spoke of his desire to join Los Blancos many times while he was at Dortmund, saying it had been a lifelong wish of his.
Aubameyang had several run-ins with BVB's board during his time in Germany, which saw him get left out of match day squads on a few occasions.
