A Manchester United player, who has recently been overlooked by Jose Mourinho, is reportedly set to have his contract terminated at the club.
Mourinho Explains Why Schweinsteiger Was Recalled
German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has not played a single minute of football for United's first team this season, as it was made clear by Mourinho that he is not in his plans.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner was linked with several moves away from the club, after there was reported interest from China and the Major League Soccer.
However, despite appearing out-of-favour, Schweinsteiger was recently recalled to senior team training with the Red Devils.
Mourinho noted that the German has been training well with the fitness coach, and said it was only normal to recall him to the squad following a few injuries to first team players.
According to The Sun, however, the club are reportedly ready to terminate Schweinsteiger's contract, which would cost them £10 million (R167 million).
