A Premier League stalwart has revealed details about a private conversation he had with Manchester United star Paul Pogba about his time at the Red Devils so far.
Frustrated Pogba Slams Man Utd's Performance After Loss
The Frenchman, who returned to United from Juventus for a fee of £89 million (R1.64 billion) in 2016, has had his ups and downs since moving back to England, and there is speculation he could be looking for a way out the club.
Speaking on television show Goals on Sunday, Bournemouth striker Jermaine Defoe admitted he and Pogba had a long chat about his fluctuating form and what might have caused it.
"It's funny, I spoke to Paul when they came down to Bournemouth (in April this year for a Premier League match)," the former Tottenham Hotspur striker said, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
"He knows he needs to do more, he said to me 'I want to do more, it's not as easy as people think'.
"There's times where he struggled with his fitness and he's played in games not 100% fit.
"I think he's one of those characters where he knows he needs to do well, he's got the right attitude."
