Remi Garde Parts Ways With Aston Villa
Aston Villa confirmed the departure of Remi Garde as manager by mutual consent on Tuesday. The Frenchman took over the reins at Villa Park on 2 November 2015, but struggled to turn around their poor season. Villa are bottom of the Premier League standings, 12 points below safety. A statement on the club's official website read: Manager, Rémi Garde, has today left Aston Villa Football Club by mutual consent. The Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Rémi for all his efforts during a difficult period and wish him well in the future. Eric Black will take over as acting manager until the Club appoints a new manager.
