Man Utd Edge Closer To UCL, First Relegation Confirmed!

Manchester United 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Manchester United cemented fourth spot in the Premier League after defeating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag was without top scorer Marcus Rashford through injury, while Raphael Varane made his return alongside Victor Lindelof.

The Red Devils took the lead in the 32nd minute when Bruno Fernandes played in Antony, who unselfishly teed up Antony Martial for his fifth league goal of the season.

The home fans at Old Trafford had to wait until the 94th minute for the second goal, as the returning Alejandro Garnacho slotted home after being played in by Fernandes.

Chelsea 2-2 Nottingham Forest

Chelsea and Nottingham Forest settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi opened the scoring for the visitors after 13 minutes by nodding home a cross from Renan Lodi.

However, Chelsea turned the game around in the second half when Raheem Sterling bagged a quick-fire brace before the hour mark to put Chelsea.

Forest did manage to get back on level terms when Awoniyi completed his brace after the hour mark.

Aston Villa 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspurs hopes of clinching Champions League football were dashed after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring for the home side after just eight minutes, before Douglas Luiz doubled the advantage in the 72nd minute.

Harry Kane pulled a goal back for Spurs from the penalty spot in the 90th minute, but Villa held on to secure maximum points.

Crystal Palace 2-0 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace climbed up to 12th spot on the table with a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at Selhurst Park.

The day belonged to Eberechi Eze, who bagged a brace with a goal in each half to seal maximum points for the Eagles.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, sit in 14th position but are eight points above the relegation zone.

Southampton 0-2 Fulham

Southampton were officially relegated to the Championship after losing 2-0 to Fulham at St Mary's Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Carlos Vinicius put the visitors ahead in the 48th minute while the returning Aleksander Mitrovic doubled the lead in the 72nd minute.

As a result, the Saints will be playing Championship football for the first time since 2011.
