According to Football Insider, the Spaniard will leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of next season, when his contract expires.

Last year, the Santpedor native signed a new two-year deal with the Citizens, but it is believed that will be his last contract with the club as he plans to take another sabbatical from football in 2025.

His spell in Manchester has been the longest the former midfielder has spent managing a club, having spent four years in charge of Barcelona, before being responsible for Bayern Munich for three years. By the time his latest contract comes to an end, he will have spent nine years at the Etihad.

Guardiola has ushered in the EPL club's most successful era, having won five Premier League titles, four Carabao Cups, two FA Cups, as well as the UEFA Champions League trophy.

Coincidentally, the news of the Catalan's would-be departure from City comes at a time when the club is preparing to attend hearings pertaining to the 115 profit and sustainability charges against them
