Weighing just 103 gram, the boot was designed to give the likes of Manyisa, Tokelo Rantie, May Mahlangu, Sergio Agüero, Marco Reus and Radamel Falcao, a new game advantage, by enhancing speed and agility.
"I am still amazed at how light these boots actually are," Aguero told PUMA.
"When the box with the boots was delivered to my house a few weeks ago, I thought the box was empty.
"This boot is a real step forward and PUMA has done a really impressive job creating it."
PUMA's official press release states:
"The majority of the radical weight reduction was achieved through using a super light, almost translucent textile upper material. While maintaining the necessary stability, the low weight PUMA SPEEDFRAME adds to the overall lightweight theme of the evoSPEED SL. Further essential support is given through a minimalistic heel counter, which provides the foot with a snug fit."
