The German played alongside Ronaldo during his time at Los Blancos before he joined the Gunners in 2013.
Ozil appeared in 159 matches for Real, scoring 27 goals and assisting a further 81 strikes – most of them for Ronaldo – during three seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The pair had a great relationship on and off the pitch, and Ronaldo voiced his disappointment when Ozil was sold by club president Florentino Perez.
The Gunner has since featured in 117 games under Arsene Wenger and scored 20 goals, while assisting another 43 for his teammates.
The midfielder is expected to play an instrumental role for his country at the 2016 European Championship, which begins on 10 June.
