The Blues are currently 12th in the Premier League, having dropped points in 11 of their 16 matches since the season got under way.
Pochettino oversaw his seventh league defeat on the weekend when the London giants were beaten 2-0 at Everton, a result that saw the team fall behind Fulham and Brentford on the table.
The manager has come under heavy pressure in recent weeks following back-to-back losses to Manchester United and the Toffees, although TEAMtalk claims the Argentine is working to improve his squad behind the scenes.
The publication reports that Pochettino has held discussions with club directors about his current group, and has picked out seven players he believes are not good enough to help the team challenge for trophies.
The former Tottenham Hotspur boss is said to not see a future in his team for Noni Madueke, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja, Marc Cucurella, Axel Disasi, Ian Maatsen, and Malo Gusto.
Pochettino and the club are thus reportedly willing to place these seven players on the transfer list and seek higher-quality replacements for them over the next two transfer windows.
