A Manchester City star has informed manager Pep Guardiola he wants to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Midfielder Kalvin Philipps has struggled for regular game time since making the move to the Etihad from Leeds United last season.

Reports in England claim that the 28-year-old has already told the club about his desire to leave in search of regular game time, as he looks to secure a spot in the England team for the European Championship.
The Guardian have reported that Newcastle United are the front-runners to sign the England international when the transfer window opens next month.
Philipps has also been linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus, who are looking for a replacement for the suspended Paul Pogba.
However, it seems there is a hurdle for Newcastle to get over if they are to secure the midfielder's services due to the financial fair play rules.
The Magpies have to structure a deal that would see stay within the FFP budget, although City are reportedly willing to loan the player instead of an outright sale.
