With Manchester United academy product Mason Greenwood having made an instant impact under Ole Gunnar this season Solskjaer, Gary Neville believes the youngster is already on the same level as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Greenwood, 18, has had an impressive debut campaign playing on the right side of United's front three, scoring 16 goals and registering three assists in all competitions.
With the Red Devils continuing to pursue top target Jadon Sancho, some believe one of the club's current front three of Rashford, Martial or Greenwood will have to make way, but Neville believes the England youth international will keep his spot in the team.
"I think that comparing him (Mason Greenwood) to (Anthony) Martial and (Marcus) Rashford is probably more fair," the Manchester United legend told Sky Sports.
"Those two have taken a few years to get to the levels they are now producing. Greenwood is doing it in his first season.
"I think he's intelligent on the pitch, can do things the other two can't do, he's a better finisher and I think he'll end up taking that No. 9 spot in the next 12 to 18 months.
"At the moment, it fits for him to be on the right-hand side, but if (Manchester) United were to buy a right-sided player, which is what's been speculated, then I can't see any way in which Mason Greenwood won't be in the team if he continues to perform at the level he is now."
