English Premier League Report: Leicester City 4-0 Swansea City 24 April 2016

Premier League Result: Leicester 4-0 Swansea Date: 24 April 2016 Venue: King Power Stadium Leicester City took another step closer to the Premier League title with a comprehensive 4-0 thrashing of Swansea City on Sunday. The table toppers were off to a perfect start as they took the lead only 10 minutes in. A terrible mistake from captain Ashley Williams cost his side dearly as he gave away possession to Riyad Mahrez who slotted a low finish for 1-0. Brimming with confidence, Mahrez pulled off a couple of tricks on the edge of the Swansea box before firing a shot at goal from the angle, but Williams turned it behind. On the half-hour mark the Foxes were cruising as they doubled their lead. Daniel Drinkwater swung in a free kick that picked out Jose Ulloa who headed home from six yards with a powerful effort. Claudio Ranieri's charges looked composed as the first half drew to a close and they went into the dressing rooms with a comfortable lead. Four minutes into the second half there was a rare miscommunication among the Leicester defenders when Robert Huth and Wes Morgan failed to pick up Andre Ayew, but fortunately for them Kasper Schmeichel made an easy save. The three crucial points were secured on 60 minutes. Schlupp took the ball just in behind Rangel with some great pace to get a one-on-one with the goalkeeper before unselfishly finding Ulloa who netted his second from close range. The hosts were as comfortable as can be after netting the third and went on to score a fourth in the 85th minute. A goalmouth scramble saw King, Gray, and Albrighton have shots blocked and saved before the latter found the back of the net on his second attempt.
