English Premier League
Full Time: Chelsea 3-0 Burnley
Date: 27 August 2016
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Chelsea made it three wins from three in the English Premier League after goals from Eden Hazard, Willian and Victor Moses handed the London club a 3-0 victory over Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
It was the perfect start for Chelsea who took the lead after only nine minutes when Hazard beat two defenders before unleashing a low 18-yard drive that found the bottom corner of the net, 1-0.
In the 16th minute Gary Cahill almost made it two for the home side, but his stinging shot from the edge of the box was superbly saved by Tom Heaton.
Chelsea continued to control the play and had the majority of the possession, but they only made their pressure tell with their second goal five minutes before the break – Willian dribbled his way into the box and produced a clinical finish to make it 2-0.
The home side continued from where they left off at the start of the second half with Heaton producing another fantastic save to deny Diego Costa in the 53rd minute.
Five minutes later john Terry should really have doubled Chelsea's lead following a goalmouth scramble inside the box, but he fired over from close range.
Chelsea wrapped up the matter a minute before full time when a pin-point pass from Pedro was turned into the back of the net by Victor Moses, 3-0.
The win sees Chelsea at the top of the league table with nine points from three games.
