The Spanish international insisted that although Los Blancos are disappointed with the result, they will continue to work hard as he believes that they are not out of the running for the La Liga title just yet.

"It's only a four-point lead," he told Marca.

"We'll continue fighting for this league. We can't throw in the towel."

The 28-year-old, who failed to stay tight to Jérémy Mathieu as the Frenchman headed the opening goal of the encounter, said his teammates are gutted after giving their all.

"We gave it our all. We needed that little bit more luck in the first-half," he added.

"In the second, they controlled the game more. We're gutted."

Real Madrid slipped four points behind Barcelona at the top of La Liga, with Luis Suarez handing Luis Enrique's men the win after a fantastic ball from Dani Alves put the Uruguayan through on goal.

Sergio Ramos has played 20 league games this season, and scored three goals, while in all competitions he has six goals from 31 games.
