Lewandowski Lashes Out At Bayern's 'Bulls**t' After Barca Move
The German season got underway this past weekend when Bayern and 2021/22 DFB-Pokal winners RB Leipzig tussled at the Red Bull Arena for DFL-Supercup honours.
The Bavarian giants were victors as they triumphed 5-3 to secure the club's 10th Supercup title, and Mane played a starring role in his team's success, finding the back of the net in the 31st minute of the game as Julian Nagelsmann's team flew out of the starting blocks.
Having now officially opened his account for the two-time treble winners, the 30-year-old Senegal superstar is eager to win more trophies with his new teammates.
Here are the most expensive players in Bayern Munich's history:
"I'm very happy to have scored my first goal for Bayern," Mane told reporters following the entertaining cup final, as per Goal.
"This is my dream. I'm looking forward to more titles.
"I'm really happy to be at this great club. It's an honour and I'm very happy.
"I'm looking forward to the future. We have to get even better, then we can win a lot of titles."
During his six years at Anfield, the two-time CAF Men's African Player of the Year won every single trophy there was to capture as a Liverpool player, and following his €32 million (R544 million) move to the Allianz Arena, it seems the forward is determined to sustain that.
His new manager also lauded the west African's impressive start to life in Germany.
"It was a very good performance from him," Nagelsmann said.
"He is a humble and grounded player. He is extremely good for us – in the dressing room too. He has outstanding qualities and is an outstanding guy."
