With ever-growing speculation surrounding Robert Lewandowski's future, Bayern Munich have reportedly disclosed their price for their star forward.
Lewandowski has been in scintillating form for the Bavarian giants ever since he arrived at the Allianz Arena in 2014 ,and this season has been no different, with the Pole having already netted 47 goals across all competitions for his current employers.
Although they suffered a shock exit from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Villarreal earlier this month, Die Roten are on course to help the 33-year-old clinch his 10th Bundesliga title.
Despite the success the Polish hitman has enjoyed with the German outfit, talks over a renewal of his contract, which is set to expire in 2023, have not gone smoothly at all, with many believing Lewandowski could be wearing a new team's jersey come the beginning of the 2022/23 season as a result.
While Bayern's chiefs are reluctant to sell the striker, should he refuse a forthcoming proposal from the club, the record Bundesliga winners may be forced to sell their prized asset rather than let him leave as a free agent next year.
According to Bild, Bayern would be willing to sell the Poland captain for €40 million (R665 million).
A number of elite European sides are understood to be eager to acquire his services, and Barcelona have been heavily linked with the forward, with Xavi lauding Lewandowski's performances this season.
The striker has unfortunately fallen just short of winning the illustrious Ballon d'Or award during his time in Munich, and that has perhaps contributed to his reported keenness to pursue a new footballing challenge outside of Germany.
