Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski cannot stop scoring this season, and has now equalled an all-time Bundesliga record set by an African superstar, while he is also on track to break another 48-year-old milestone.

The Poland striker netted once in Bayern's 2-2 draw at Augsburg on Saturday, scoring his 12th league of the 2019/20 campaign in the process.
Lewandowski has now found the back of the net in each of the first eight Bundesliga rounds, equalling the record set by former Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The African superstar set the record in 2015/16, but Lewandowski will go one clear of him if he scores in the Bavarians' next league game against Union Berlin.

The 31-year-old has another Bundesliga record in sight too. If he continues at his current rate of 1.5 goals per game, he could break Gerd Muller's mark for most goals in a single league campaign.
The legendary Bayern forward netted 40 times in the 1971/72 campaign, but Lewandowski could reach 51 league goals at his current rate.

Despite the Pole's red-hot form, though, Bayern have won just four of their first eight Bundesliga games, and are currently third on the league table, behind VFL Wolfsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach.
In fact, nine teams are separated by just two points at the top of the current Bundesliga table.
