A club in Europe is reportedly keen on appointing one of Manchester United's managerial targets as their new head coach.
It has been claimed in recent weeks that United are close to appointing Erik ten Hag as their new permanent boss.
The Dutchman is understood to have been in dialogue with the Red Devils over the position, and is said to be keen on taking the job in Manchester, but the parties are reportedly yet to agree on the nuances of his contract, as well as to what degree of influence he will have as a manager.
According to AD, the terms of his employment have halted the progression of the talks, leaving room for German club RB Leipzig to make a potential late move for the Ajax Amsterdam boss.
Die Roten Bullen are currently fourth on the Bundesliga table, following a below-par start to the season under Jesse Marsch, who has since left the club to take charge of Leeds United.
With Domenico Tedesco taking over at Leipzig, he has led their ascent of the log since, but although his deal with the club runs until the end of next season, Leipzig are seemingly eager to pounce on the chance to make Ten Hag their next manager should the opportunity avail itself.
The Dutchman has experience working in Germany too, having been in charge of Bayern Munich's reserve side between 2013 and 2015.
