Mane's Angry Outburst At Nagelsmann 'Revealed'

Mane's Angry Outburst At Nagelsmann 'Revealed'

Sadio Mane was reportedly not happy with Julian Nagelsmann in the last days of his reign as Bayern Munich manager, leading to an angry outburst from the star.

According to Bild, the Senegalese forward was not having a pleasant time with Nagelsmann at the Bavarian giants.

The 30-year-old forward was used sparingly by the German tactician after his recovery from a leg injury just before the 2022 FIFA World Cup, a trend that seemingly led to the reigning CAF African Player of the Year having an angry outburst after Bayern defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their round of 16 UEFA Champions League encounter.

Having only played 13 minutes of that match, it is said the attacker furiously complained to Nagelsmann in the dressing room afterwards for not giving him substantial minutes against the French giants.

The same report claims the situation led to the boss feeling intimidated by the forward given Mane's usual calm demeanour.

Two weeks after their victory over PSG and the 35-year-old tactician is now unemployed. The record Bundesliga champions dismissed him in light of their inconsistent results in the league as they now trail long leaders Borussia Dortmund.

Thomas Tuchel has since taken over in Munich, with his first game in charge set to be against BVB this weekend.

Explaining Nagelsmann's dismissal, club CEO Olivier Kahn said: "When we signed Julian for FC Bayern in the summer of 2021, we were convinced we would work with him on a long-term basis – and that was the goal of all of us right up to the end.

"Julian shares our aspiration to play successful and attractive football.

"But now we have come to the conclusion that the quality in our squad – despite the Bundesliga title last year – has come to the fore less and less often.

"After the World Cup we have played less successfully and less attractively. The big fluctuations in performance have cast doubt on our goals for this season, but also our goals for the future. That is why we have acted now."
