After previously admitting Liverpool could not afford to bring Philippe Coutinho back to Anfield in the past window, manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed what he told the Brazilian following his surprise move to Bayern Munich.

The 27-year-old endured a tough 2018/19 season at the Catalan giants, where he lost his place as a key starter and became unsettled when it was said that Barca were willing to offer him to Paris Saint-Germain in a swap deal for Neymar.
He was also linked with a move back to England, but it was German giants Bayern he joined near the end of the previous transfer window.
In a recent interview, Klopp insisted Coutinho is the perfect fit for the Bavarians, which he says is something he has personally told the playmaker.

"Amazing player, we really didn't want to let him go," he told Bild.
"Barca forced us financially. World-class player, really good transfer for Bayern and the Bundesliga. I thought it was a good fit for both when I first heard about it.
"It may sound strange, but we didn't have enough money to get him. We'd already spent all the money we got for him.
"I have already told him in person that he and Bayern will be a good fit. It's not so good for Dortmund, I hope Dortmund will win the title again because it's getting boring with Bayern winning every year.
"But Dortmund have an amazing team. Other teams like Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig are also interesting teams, and a lot can happen."

Coutinho has played twice for the German champions already, but is yet to complete a full 90 minutes for the club.
