Borussia Dortmund starlet Reinier Jesus, who recently joined the German club on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid, has insisted he does not want to be considered "the next Kaka".
The 18-year-old signed for Los Blancos from Flamengo in January this year, but has been sent to BVB on a loan deal that will last until June 2022.
An attacking midfielder, Reinier has been compared to his countryman Kaka as he is known for his quick feet, quick passes and vision.
Speaking about these comparisons recently, the teenager said that while he does look up to the former AC Milan and Real Madrid midfielder, he wants to make a name for himself.
"I want to show my football. Of course, it's a great thing to be compared with a player like that. But I want to show what kind of football player I am.
"Kaka is a player that I would like to model myself on. But I don't want to be a second Kaka; I want to be Reinier."
Reinier played 15 times for Flamengo's senior side, scoring six goals and assisting a further two strikes, before scoring twice in three games for Real's Castilla side.
