Bundesliga Wrap: Bayern Munich's perfect start halted

Bayern Munich 1-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Bayern Munich dropped points for the first time in the Bundesliga this season after drawing 1-1 with Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday evening.

French forward Marcus Thuram gifted the home the lead two minutes before the halftime break with his third goal in four games this campaign.

Gladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer was proving a tough nut to crack until Leroy Sane stepped up in the 83rd minute to rescue a point for the champions.

Hertha Berlin 0-1 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund bounced back from last week's defeat to Werder Bremen with a 1-0 victory over Hertha Berlin on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors got the breakthrough on 32 minutes when new signing Anthony Modeste got his first goal of the season.

RB Leipzig 2-0 Wolfsburg

RB Leipzig got their first win of the campaign after defeating VFL Wolfsburg 2-0 at the Red Bull Arena.

The hosts broke the deadlock after just five minutes into the clash, with Cristopher Nkunku converting a penalty.

Nkunku completed his brace in the 90th minute to seal maximum points for the home side.

Mainz 0-3 Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen ended a run of three straight defeats after securing a 3-0 win away to Mainz on Saturday afternoon.

Leverkusen got off to a good start and were gifted the opening goal when Jonathan Burkardt netted into his own net on 29 minutes.

The visitors managed to bag two more goals before the break after Jeremie Frimpong completed a quick-fire brace.

Schalke 1-6 Union Berlin

Union Berlin maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 6-1 thrashing of Schalke on Saturday afternoon.

Sheraldo Becker bagged a brace, while Morten Thorsby and Janik Haberer also netted for the visitors.

Marius Butler's strike proved to be nothing more than a consolation, while Sven Michel rounded off the scoring for Berlin with a brace in the final three minutes.

Hoffenheim 1-0 Augsburg

Hoffenheim claimed a third win in four games after defeating Augsburg 1-0 at the PreZero Arena,

Denni Geiger got the spoils for the home side with his first goal of the season in the 38th minute.
