Bayern Open Four-Point Lead With Bremen Scalp

Werder Bremen 1-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich moved four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga after defeating Werder Bremen on Saturday evening.

Thomas Tuchel handed a start to Sadio Mane, who joined Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the attack.

Neither side were able to find the opening goal in the first half, before Bayern broke the deadlock through Serge Gnabry's tenth league goal of the season.

Substitute Leroy Sane doubled the visitors' lead ten minutes later and while Niklas Schmidt pulled one back for Bremen, the Bavarians were able to see out the closing stages.

Freiburg 0-1 RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig cemented third spot on the table with a 1-0 victory away to Freiburg on Saturday afternoon.

Kevin Kampl's solitary strike in the 74th minute was enough to seal maximum points for the visitors.

Hoffenheim 3-1 Frankfurt

Hoffenheim gave their survival hopes a massive boost with a 3-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt at the PreZero Arena.

Christoph Baumgartner, Andrej Kramaric and Ihlas Bebou got the goals for the visitors, who were reduced to ten men when Stanley Nsoki was sent off after the break.

Mario Gotze bagged a consolation for the visitors, who find themselves in ninth position.

Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 Bochum

Borussia Monchengladbach got back to winning ways after defeating Bochum 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts found the breakthrough on 35 minutes through Jonas Hofmann, while Lars Stindl  got the second goal for the home side in second-half stoppage time.

Augsburg 1-0 Union Berlin

Union Berlin missed the chance to move up to third spot after losing 1-0 to Augsburgs on Sunday afternoon.

Dion Beljo got the all-important winner for home side, who climbed up to 13th position while Berlin remain in fourth spot

Hertha Berlin 2-1 Stuttgart

Herth Berlin kept their survival hopes alive after defeating Stuttgart 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Marc Oliver Kempf and Florian Niederlechner were on target to cancel out Serhou Guirassy's strike for Stuttgart.

Hertha sit bottom of the table, three points adrift of Stuttgart who occupy the play-off spot.
