Bayer Leverkusen moved top of the Bundesliga table after defeating Hoffenheim 4-1 on Sunday evening.

After dropped points on Saturday, Leverkusen took full advantage as a brace from Leon Baily put the hosts 2-0 up in the first,

Christoph Baumgartner pulled a goal back for Hoffenheim on 50 minutes, before Florian Wirtz and late penalty by Lucas Alario sealed the win five minutes later.

The visitors also finished the game with nine men after Stefan Posch and Florian Grillitsch were sent off in the final 20 minutes.

Schalke extended their remarkable winless run in the Bundesliga to 27 games after drawing 2-2 at Augsburg.

The visitors got off to a poor start af Suat Serdar deflected the ball into his own net on 32 minutes to hand Augsburg the lead.

Baba Raman pulled Schalke level on 52 minutes before Nassim Boujellab completed the turnaround.

Schalke were seconds away from their first win in 27 matches until Marco Richter netted Augsburg's equaliser in the 93rd minute.
