Bayern Munich moved to the top of the Bundesliga table after defeating Union Berlin 2-1 at the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarians got off to the perfect start when Benjamin Pavard opened the scoring with a fine finsih after just 13 minutes.

It was Bayern who got the next goal as Robert Lewandowski netted for the ninth consectuive league game in the 53rd minute.

Sebastian Andersson missed the chance to pull one back from the penalty spot in the 58th minute, but Sebastian Polter did get what proved to be a consolation with two minutes remaining.

The famous Revierderby ended all square as Schalke managed to hold Borussia Dortmund at the VELTINS-Arena.

Jadon Sancho returned to the line-up for Dortmund, but was unable to inspire his side to victory as the spoils were shared on the day.

As a result, Dortmund have dropped to third spot while Schlake find themselves in seventh spot.
