Borussia Monchengladbach reclaimed top spot in the Bundesliga with a 4-2 victory over Freiburg on Sunday afternoon.

Marcus Thuram had the home side ahead three minutes before Jonathan Schmid restored parity three minutes later.

Bree Embolo and Patrick Hermann put the home side two goals up shortly after the halftime to make it 3-1.

Lucas Holer pulled another goal for the visitors on 58 minutes, but Embolo sealed the win with his brace on 71 minutes.

Werder Bremen ended a run of three games without a win to defeat Wolfsburg 3-2 on Sunday evening.

Milot Rashica bagged a brace to go along Leon Bittencourt's solitary strike for the visitors.

Wout Weghorst and William were on target for the home side, who have slipped to ninth spot.
