Ruthless Bayern Remain Top, Dortmund's Title Charge Dented

Bayern Munich 5-3 Augsburg 

Bayern Munich cemented top spot in the Bundesliga with a 5-3 win over Augsburg on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors surprised the home side by taking the lead after just two minutes thanks to a strike from Mergim Berisha.

However, Julian Nagelsmann's side got back on level terms through Joao Cancelo on 15 minutes before Benjamin Pavard completed the turnaround four minutes later.

Pavard bagged his second and Bayern's third goal ten minutes before the halftime, while Leroy Sane got in on the act before the break to make it 4-1.

Alphonso Davies got Bayern's fifth goal in the second half, as Berisha and Cardona also added to Augsburg's tally although Bayern had done enough for three points.

Borussia Dortmund 2-2 Schalke

Borussia Dortmund missed the chance to move level on points with Bayern Munich after drawing 2-2 with Schalke.

Nico Schlotterbeck opened the scoring for Dortmund on 38 minutes, before Marius Butler pulled Schalke level.

Raphael Guerriero got the visitors back in front with 30 minutes to play, but Kenan Karaman sealed a point for the hosts in the 79th minute

RB Leipzig 3-0 Borussia Monchengladbach

RB Leipzig proved too strong for Borussia Monchengladbach after registering a 3-0 win at the Red Bull Arena.

After a scoreless first half, Timo Werner opened the scoring in the 57th minute with his sixth league goal of the season. Emil Forsberg doubled Leipzig's lead from the penalty spot on 71 minutes, before Joško Gvardiol rounded off the scoring with ten minutes to play.

Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1 Stuttgart

Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart could not be separated after playing to a 1-1 draw at Duetsche Bank Park.

the home side found the breakthrough ten minutes into the second half , with Sebastien Rode getting his name on the score-sheet.

Frankfurt were unable to hold on for maximum points as Silas Katompa Mvumpa pulled Stutthart level with 15 minutes left on the clock.

Hertha Berlin 1-1 Mainz

Hertha Berlin and Mainz setlled for a share of the spoils at the Olympiastadion Berlin on Saturday afternoon.

Berlin got the breakthough in the 18th minute as Jessic Ngankam converted from the penalty spot for his third goal of the campaign.

The visitors managed to get back on level terms in the 57th minute when Lucas Barreiro set up Ludovic Ajorque for his first goal for the club since joininig in January.
