Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have sacked manager Niko Kovac following the side's 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

The Bavarians have endured a mixed start to the Bundesliga season having only won five of their first 10 league openings.
The humiliating loss to Frankfurt was the last straw for the club, who have decided to part ways with Kovac.

During his first seaosn with the Bavarians, Kovac led the side to Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and German Super Cup titles.
The defending league champions currently occupy fourth spot in the table, but their immediate focus shifts to Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash against Olympiakos.
