Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has explained why Manchester City loanee Joao Cancelo has been dropped in recent matches.
The Portuguese full-back has been named on the bench for the Bavarians' last four matches, including the win over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
There were reports that Cancelo has been frustrated with his time in Munich, but Salihamidzic claims the player has not been up to standard in training.

"Joao hasn't been training and playing the way we envisaged lately," Salihamidzic said, as per Manchester Evening News.
"We're in regular communication with him. I understand how he feels, but he is an excellent player who will become important to us in the future."
However, Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann has revealed the Portuguese is set to return to the starting line-up against Augsburg.
"As of now, he gets the chance to play from the start. He's always had a good reaction," he added.
"One training session wasn't so good, but afterwards we had a very good conversation. The conversation was very open, did him a lot of good. He's happy on the pitch again."
