Paris Saint-Germain superstar Edinson Cavani has revealed who he thinks should win the 2018 Ballon d'Or between the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Raphael Varane and Luka Modric, among others.

Modric has been tipped to end Lionel Messi and Ronaldo's 10-year dominance of the award after the incredible 2018 he has had, during which he won the UEFA Champions League and captained Croatia to the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
However, while many believe the midfielder is worthy of the prize, Cavani thinks somebody else deserves to win it.
"Varane may well be there, (Antoine) Griezmann, Mbappe... I think a Frenchman should win, there are other players who could, but it should be a Frenchman, they have won the World Cup," Cavani told RMC.
"Modric has had a great season, but his teammate Varane won the Champions League and the World Cup, Modric was a finalist and had a great campaign, but Varane deserves it more."
