The defeat saw Wydad drop to sixth on the Botola Pro 1 league table, 12 points behind league leaders RS Berkane who have played a game less.

The South African tactician admits it will be difficult for his side to compete for the title after the big loss and reveals his future is in the hands of the Wydad bosses.

"It is difficult to compete for the championship title after today's loss," Mokwena said after the game, as per LeSiteInfo.

"I take full responsibility and I ask the Wydad fans to be kind to the players.

"My future is in the hands of the Wydad management and today's loss is very painful.

"I do not like to look for excuses, but I need to review the match to know the reasons for our performance at this level."

Mokwena also defended goalkeeper Youssef Moutaie's performance in the humiliating defeat.

"Moutie does not bear responsibility today, and I am not one of those who blame the defeat on the players."
