The first leg of the CAF Champions League final takes place in Pretoria on Saturday, but Pyramids have another league game four days later.
The club's assitant sporting director Moatasem Salem has requested to postpoone the league clash to give them time to prepare for the second leg against Sundowns.
"We sent an official request to postpone the match due to its conflict with our continental commitments, but we have not received any response yet, which raises questions about the league's unfair treatment of the clubs," he said, as per WinWin.
"Instead of supporting us as the sole representative of Egyptian football in the Champions League final, we find those who obstruct our progress and pressure us domestically, as if the goal is to deprive us of our natural right to focus on the final.
“What does Egyptian football have to do with depriving us of a deserved postponement, just to allow the competitor (Al-Ahly) By registering one of its players?
"Why did they insist on holding the match on May 28, despite the possibility of our competitor finishing its matches without any connection to us, so that it can devote itself to preparing for the Club World Cup?"
