Zamalek president Mortada Mansour has left his post permanently as the club's chief executive.

Zamalek's president has officially confirmed his departure from the club on a permanent basis.

Four months ago, Mortada Mansour was displaced from his position as chief executive of the White Knights by Egypt's court of administrative justice, with that verdict coming after the 71-year-old was found guilty of verbally abusing Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib.

However, Mansour refused to honour the court's decision and continued attending Zamalek press conferences and meetings.

Earlier this week, though, he confirmed that this would no longer be the case as he was stepping away from his role forever.

"I am outside Zamalek now, out of the scene, and just a fan," the Egyptian executive said on his YouTube channel, as per KingFut.

"I am out of the scene. The elections will be on October 31 next, and whoever wants to run should come forward.

"Zamalek owes 140 million EGP to the EFA, in addition to the fine imposed by Sporting Lisbon that prevents us from registering new players.

"I tried with the EFA and paid 30 million pounds to register the first squad.

"I am leaving the club, and in its treasury, there are about 20 million pounds, and I have not waived a single dollar of Mahmoud Kahraba's fine.

"If he doesn't pay, he will be suspended, and if he pays, we will receive $2.5 million, equivalent to about 100 million pounds, in addition to another 100 million pounds reserved, and thus these amounts will solve a very big problem for new deals and players' dues.

"If I only looked out for my interest, I would say I was elected four or five times, but I love the entity of Zamalek and see it collapsing due to a crisis that has nothing to do with me.

"I demand the minister of finance to lift the seizure on Zamalek, as he confirmed in 2018 that we are the only club that paid all the taxes imposed on it."
