Former Orlando Pirates Coach Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic Close To New Job, Comments On Offers

Former Orlando Pirates coach Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic has told Soccer Laduma he has various interesting and lucrative offers on the table for his next job, and will make a decision in the coming days.

Following reports linking the Serbian manager with the Zambia national team head coach roles, Soccer Laduma contacted the ex-Buccaneers tactician to enquire about his situation.

The Serb explained that he has various offers on the table but needs to decide whether he will go for a club or take on a national team.

"Since December, I've received offers from left and right," he said.

"I've been offered a job by Pyramids in Egypt, from Club Africa in Tunisia, from MC Alger in Algeria, from Wydad Casablanca, the Zimbabwe national team, the Ghana national team, the Zambian national team.

"Also with Al Taawon, one of the top five in Saudi Arabia, and Al Ain in United Arab Emirates.

"All these offers are part of life, but, for me, I'm at a crossroads and I need to choose whether to go for a club or national team.

"To go for big money or to go for less money but project.

"I'm on crossroads and we shall see what the next few days will bring.

"Personally, I've always believed in projects, so I will see which project will suit to my personal career plan."

Reports in Zambia suggest that Sredojevic is all but set for the Chipolopolo role after being shortlisted alongside Portuguese tactician Abel Xavier and Belgian coach Ivan Minnaert. It has also been claimed that only the approval of the Ministry of Sports is missing.

Sredojevic coached Orlando Pirates for a second time between August 2017 and August 2019, when he stepped down from his role and took over at Zamalek a few days later. However, he left the Egyptian giants in December, and has since been without a job.
