Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has broken his silence on claims there is a rift between himself and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
Hassan was appointed head coach earlier this year after Egypt's disappointing showing at the Africa Cup of Nations, where they were eliminated in the round of 16.

Egypt's AFCON campaign was also shadowed by Salah's injury and the news about the player returning to England to recover instead of staying with the team at the tournament.
Hassan was critical of Salah's actions during the tournament and voiced disappointment at the time, but the coach insists there are no issues now.
"The media have the right to know what we are doing to achieve our goals and we want to clarify everything before the start of the next international break," Hassan said, as per KingFut.
"The national team camp starts on May 28th, and we aim to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. We will only include players with the passion, enthusiasm and spirit to play in the Egyptian national team.
"Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world ever, which is an indisputable fact. There is no rift between me and him. We communicate with him normally."
The Pharaohs resume their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month against Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau.
