The Saudi club looking to lure Josef Zinnbauer away from Raja Athletic Club has reportedly hit a stumbling block in their negotiations with the German tactician.

Zinnbauer had a fantastic 2023/24 campaign with the Green Eagles, leading them to Botola Pro Inwi and Moroccan Throne Cup glory without suffering a single defeat.
His accomplishments in north Africa have consequently attracted interest from Saudi Arabia.
It is believed Saudi Pro League outfit Al Wehda want the 54-year-old to be their manager for the new campaign.
According to Anbaetv, the former Orlando Pirates boss has agreed to leave Casablanca in favour of taking up a new challenge in the oil-rich kingdom, but despite giving the green light to the move in principle, the two parties are struggling to navigate a particular issue.
It is believed that included in Zinnbauer's contract at Raja is a release clause amounting to around $200 000 (R3.6 million), and the same report claims that the Saudi club are not willing to pay this amount, despite the Schwandorf native hoping that they would.
The Moroccan champions are currently in an unstable position administration-wise, with their president, Mohamed Boudrika, having recently been arrested.
This, coupled with a multitude of other issues pertaining to unpaid dues as well as disputes between technical staff and players, has seemingly created an environment in which Zinnbauer can no longer continue.

Whether or not he ultimately ends up joining Al Wehda remains to be seen given the latest developments in their negotiations.
