Making up two-thirds of one of the world's most deadly frontlines, Salah and Mane have become two of the world's best players in recent years. The latter is the current African Footballer of the Year following a remarkable year with the Reds and Senegal, while the former has already broken a hatful of club records en route to his current tally of 91 goals for the Merseysiders.
More prolific still is legendary striker Gordon Hodgson, who is better known in England than in his native South Africa. The Johannesburg-born hitman represented the club between 1925 and 1936, and scored 241 goals in 377 matches, a record that stood for 31 years before being broken by Roger Hunt.

In the mid-1920s, Hodgson made two international appearances for what was then regarded as the South African national football team, before electing to represent England as the country of birth of both his mother and father.
South African-born and former Zimbabwe international Bruce Grobbelaar also features after making more than 600 appearances for the Reds in the 1980s and '90s. Grobbelaar is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers to have played for the club, and won no fewer than 19 major trophies during his time at Anfield.
Aboubacar Sidiki Camara, affectionately known as Titi Camara, spent only a solitary season at Anfield, but the former Guinea international was a fan favourite during his time with Liverpool, during which he scored a number of memorable goals, including a fine winner against high-flying Arsenal.
