Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been longstanding arch-rivals for many years now, but when it comes to their personal lives, family comes first for the both of them. But how exactly did they celebrate their Christmas? We unravel it all!
Let's start with Messi. With LaLiga set for a short hibernation period over the festive season, Messi, along with his wife Antonella and their three sons, kept things low-key by putting on matching winter woolies and cuddling up under their Christmas tree alongside Santa Claus for a beautiful family photo.

They then spent Christmas Day dining with their closest friends and family, before enjoying some beautiful rays of sunshine on Boxing Day.
Messi took to Instagram to post a picture of himself embracing his wife next to his pool, while he also took to Instagram Stories to post a video himself playing Teqball with his eldest son, Thiago.

Heading over to Italy, Ronaldo is yet to enjoy a break as he was back in action – albeit from the bench – against Atalanta on Boxing Day. However, in the days leading up to the holiday, Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina really embraced the meaning of Christmas by heading over to a local hospital in Turin to visit children in need and give them presents.

Ronaldo wasn't the only one doing the giving though – his teammate Federico Bernardeschi commissioned a beautiful portrait of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner to hang in his house.

On Christmas Eve, "CR7" managed to take a moment to relax with his family, and he, too, posed for a stunning family photograph with Georgina and his four kids. How do you like their little Santa outfits?

On Christmas Day, though, Ronaldo had little free time available as he travelled to Bergamo with his Juventus teammates to take on Atalanta on Boxing Day.
The 33-year-old started the game from the bench for the first time in his Bianconeri career, and was asked to come on as Juventus trailed 2-1 in the closing 20 minutes of the game. Naturally, Ronaldo managed to salvage a point as he scored just moments after replacing Sami Khedira.
If you were Messi or Ronaldo, how would you have spent your Christmas?
