Kaizer Chiefs are closing in on former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Gaston Sirino, and the Siya crew has been informed of the developments so far.
As first reported by the Siya crew, Chiefs had been keenly monitoring Sirino, and sources have indicated that an announcement is expected soon on the Uruguayan's future.

A source close to Chiefs added that Sirino's representatives have tentatively agreed to a two-year contract with an option for an additional year but the deal is not complete yet.
"At the moment the deal is as good as done. They have entered into negotiations to sign him at a substantial amount as things stand. All the important issues like signing on fee and salary have been agreed upon. Even the length of the contract has been agreed upon," said the Siya source.
"You know he is a free agent and that gives the team the chance to discuss a better signing on fee as they are not buying him. Then there is the issue of the salary. I can't lie. That is between the agent, the club and the player. But as for the contract, it's a two-year contract with a one-year option," the source added.

Further boosting the likelihood of this transfer, a second insider shared that Sirino, who can now be registered as a South African due to his tenure in the country, is eager to join the Glamour Boys.
"He has expressed his happiness to be at Chiefs. He is looking forward to playing for Chiefs and the negotiations have been going on very well. Though there were doubts before but now things are as good as done. The team needs his experience and they are happy to have him. But as I have said, the deal is as good as done. Soon he will be introduced as a Chiefs player. That I know," the second source believes.
Sirino, 33, joined Sundowns in 2018 and has an impressive record with the club. However, last season the Uruguayan was unsettled because he wasn't a regular starter in the team. On Thursday, Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi admitted to the media that Sirino was on Amakhosi's wanted list.
Soccer Laduma reached out to Chiefs for comment on how close negotiations are, but there was no response at the time of preparing this story.
